The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen General Stakeholder Assembly takes place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th October 2008. It is jointly organised by the two founding members of the Joint Undertaking, the European Community represented by the European Commission and the New Energy World, the non-profit association representing a major share of Europe's hydrogen and fuel cell industries.On Monday 13th October, the Industry Workshop in preparation of the launch of the Joint Technology Initiative is organised by the New Energy World in cooperation with FuelCellEurope and the European Hydrogen Association.

The objectives of this major event are the following: To officially launch the Joint Technology Intiative for fuel cells and hydrogen and position it both in a European context as well as in a global emerging industry. To demonstrate the commitment of stakeholders towards the common goal of mobilising high public and private investments to deploy hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in Europe. To present the objectives, the governance, the content and mechanisms of the Joint Technology Initiative to the stakeholders.
