P21 expands its management team

P21, a supplier of fuel-cell-supported emergency electrical current to the mobile telephony industry, has further strengthened its staff with the appointment of a new Vice President Sales & Marketing. Alexandre Zehnder has been coordinating all sales and marketing activities worldwide for P21 since March 2008.

Before he joined P21, Zehnder had been active in various leadership positions with international businesses, most recently as Head of Telecommunications & Global Account Director Network Solutions for NEC, the Japanese group of affiliated companies. During his tenure with NEC, Alexandre Zehnder successfully expanded new markets, closed global cooperative deals and promoted collaboration between mobile-telephony providers and NEC on the R&D level of 4G mobile-telephony networks.

Volker Adam likewise joined P21 in March 2008. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), he’s responsible for P21’s financial affairs and controlling. Business financing, financial reporting and investor relations fall within his field of duties.

Prior to assuming his responsibilities at P21, Volker Adam had served as Senior Director Finance at Micromet AG. The holder of a graduate degree in business administration, Adam began his career with the Allianz Group in 1996. He afterwards held various responsible positions in the financial field for Willy Bogner GmbH & Co. KGaA and Hemoteq AG.
