Euro-Med to Install 400kW Fuel Cell

Euro-Med Laboratories is said to be installing a 400kW CNG fuelled fuel cell at its HQ in the Philippines.

The project, which has been reported as costing up to US$30 million will involve the installation and operation of a stationary fuel cell to generate prime power of 400 kilowatts to supply about 25 to 30 percent of the company’s average electrical load.

The project will is also said to generate 979 new jobs and begin commercial operations in June 2010.

FCT ED NOTE: Looking at the (very) high costs involved and the number of new jobs to be created it must be assumed that there are a number of other non fuel cell related components to this project that have not been mentioned in the press releases.
